city over the Bay..6x9' 45sec Yesterday, I had the opportunity to try a medium called "light Painting" or "Light Graffiti"...It involves using a Fixed camera in complete darkness with a long 30sec/3min exposure...and using light ( led flashlights, glow sticks, lasers, flares etc)...in my experience it involved drawing in space with a LED flashlight...imagine being in complete darkness and creating large images on an imaginary wall..and you don't even have to move fast...which simply amazes me....pics all were done in under 45 secs..note text must be written in reverse which presents its own challenges...........also interesting is that you can have a conversation with your self (single exposure!).and NO DIGITAL ENHANCEMENT WAS DONE (Photoshop etc).....a Big thank you to Photog Heath Pettine for showing me this amazing medium....there will be more...oh yes there will be more!  link for some light painting picasso did... Recently I have been creating with a renewed fervor, fueled by the desire to create a new body of work with the intent on having a solo exhibition in 2013, So I've been exploring new techniques and ideas...one of them being combining my Geometric Drawing style with my Realist painting style...here are examples of a studies in process....there will be more Layers, maybe even some realism.......but as far as the geometric "Drawing"...I hope to push Depth tonally. Tonight was a great night, I had 2 Gallery Openings and got to paint live. The Openings were Both at Artworks! community Art center in New Bedford. The Openings were for their TAIP (Teen Art Internship Program) In which I mentored two students and as Part of The Cobblestone Critique Group's annual show. I chose Video Game icons Mario and Luigi for my live Painting  considering the AHA! Nights Theme was Kids Rule!.....for a Dubstep version of the traditional Mario Tune click Tonight was a great night, I had 2 Gallery Openings and got to paint live. Today I had the chance to paint at a new event in Brockton to promote health , Saftey, neighborhoods, the Arts and our youth. The event had a strong display of health related vendors, food and entertainment including: Live Aerosol PAinting (Me), Musical performances, skate jam, Basketball, kids area, face painting, k9 demo and more!.....Mural was painted in 5 hrs. \\ Today I had the chance to paint at a new event in Brockton to promote health , neighborhoods, the Arts and our youth. photog: Josh Souza Tonight I had the pleasure of painting live at the 767 Exchange store In Downtown New Bedford....good times were had by all with live music/Art and a great crowd.....even got on cable access news....the painting is 28 x 78" Acrylic and Aerosol.....yes the canvas is a recycled closet door..the subject is a 51 Mercury and was painted in about 3 hours During the Monthly AHA! celebration .
